Bodo Riddim
It seems that Roots Reggae is not a Jamaican thing anymore, as the best Roots music is simply not made in Jamaica anymore - it’s made outside the small island in the sun. However the best singers are still Jamaican - and a blends of outside productions and Jamaican singers has become more and more common - but one who have done it for more than a few years is Andreas Brotherman Christophersen from Minor7 Flat5 Productions in Germany/Spain - and the latest rhythm from Brotherman is Bodo Riddim which has recently been put out.
Bodo Riddim is a nice uplifting rubadub rhythm with a nice bassline and a nice drumbeat - just like Brotherman does it the best. But there is more - the artists on the release is simply leaves you begging for more, as artists like Capleton, Horace Andy, Sizzla, Lutan Fyah and Josie Mel and many more. But it’s the great tune Rude Boy (build of Tenament Yard) with Beenie Man and the extremely good tune Poverty by veteran Cocoa Tea who takes home the price here.
As usual Brotherman and the whole Minor7 Flat5 gang has accomplished a great rhythm with great songs voice over. So if you’re into rubadub reggae of high quality Bodo is for you… The rest will just skank along a en enjoy nice Reggae…
