03.11.08 :: Danish Athlete Is Planning A Reggae Debut
The Danish athlete and rowing ex-world champion Mette Block is on the verve to release a reggae album in January 2009. Sofar no news is available about the album - but according to Block herself, some of veteran singer Eddy Grant's people from no other than Universal Records in England, has showed some interest to the album.
We will keep you posted on the perculiar reggae album.
03.11.08 :: Mavado Finishes His New Album
Good new to all Mavado fans around. Accoring to several sources - the next album from Mavado, sofar entitled Mr. Brooks is officially finished. Not many details is avaiable right now - but according to persons within the business Stephen 'Di Genious' McGregor are in charge of most productions on the album.
As we have seen before with the first album Gangster For Life... The Symphony of David Brooks, it was released first in Japan on the Victor label, which also has released an album with Busy Signal and Serani, which hasn't been release elsewhere, and then later on the VP label. So we are not sure, when the album will be out and who's going to release it first - but it will be a VP Records release!
02.11.08 :: Deva Bratt Is Out
The artist Deva Bratt who was arrested for carnal abuse earlier this year, has been released from Greater Portmore Police Station last Friday but will show up on court on November 20, where he will face the trial.
31.10.08 :: Guide To Reggae In CPH Vol. 1
Today we lauched a new section to reggaeXplosion - and that is our very own Guide To Reggae In The Copenhagen Area which is a help from us to you about what's going on of reggae-related stuff in Copenhagen.
The lastest edition was sent out just about 5 minutes ago - and we hope to be able to send out even more newsletters to our mailing list - once every week. You can check our the guide here og click the Guide To Reggae in CPH out in the menu to the left.
We will send out the newsletter on mondays in the future - which means that deadline for having your event featured in the newsletter is Monday mornings before 12:00.
31.10.08 :: Mr. Lex Cancelled Tonight
The Jamaican deejay Mr. Lex has cancelled his gig at the Natasja Birthday Memorial tonight, as he, not surprisingly, has problems with his Visa. Instead the artists Ataf, Zaki, Joe True and Ilawy will function as replacements for Mr. Lex.
The price has therefor been lowered from 200 DKK to 100 DKK.
