08.02.08 :: Gregory Isaacs Tours USA and Canada

The Cool Ruler aka. Gregory Isaacs is schedules for a five-week tour in North America, where he will be promotion his new album, entitled Brand New Me.

He will be backed by premier band Live Wyya - who will beform a 30 minutes set at each concert prior to backing up Isaacs.

08.02.08 :: Possible New Album From Wayne Marshall in 2008

Good news for all fans of Alliance member Wayne Marshall as he is currently working on a new album, slated for release in the second quater of 2008.

It's been 5 years since his debut Marshall Law was released for VP Records. The. The new, yet untitled album, will be released through the Big Ship label, and will mainly be produced by Stephen 'Di Genius' McGregor.

06.02.08 :: The Alliance To Tour The UK

Finally something is happening on the plans for Bounty Killer and The Alliance. A few months ago, a bulleting hit the mailboxes of reggaeXplosion, explaning that Bounty Killer was available for European dates during the second quater of 2008.

First The Alliance will be heading to the UK for three shows only, featuring Bounty Killer, Mavado, Einstein and Future Fambo (aka. Future Troubles) in Birmingham, Bradford and London.

Cham and Spice are also added to the line-up to the shows announced "as the biggest Dancehall show ever to hit the shores of the United Kingdom."

The concerts will kick off Bounty Killer's first European tour in ages, which will take him to Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Italy and France.

These shows will not be with Mavado, who is scheduled for Caribbean performances.

 

06.02.08 :: Reggae Splash Tour 08

Again this year Showstoppers Entertainment presents a nation wide Reggae Splash Tour 08 featuring the the biggest local names available: Chin (aka Chineman), Ilawy and Mission 1.

The artists are backed by seasoned backing band The Ragga Pack (the backing back of the late Natasja) and supporting sound system is the fast rising rockers from ReggaeHagen Warriors

05.02.08 :: Vybz Kartel and Aidonia Wanted By Police

Sheldon 'Aidonia' Lawrence Adidjah 'Vybz Kartel' Palmer are wanted by the police due to a disturbing picture taken of the two deejays posing with heavy firearms.

The police wants to question Aidonia and Vybz Kartel regarding how they got the weapon.

A check on the two artists, proved that none of them was licensed to wear fireams - and therefor they are wanted.
